The Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) available through this website was issued by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) pursuant to the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). The FONSI was distributed to the public on December 21, 2011.  The FONSI and its supporting documents can be viewed at local libraries in Quincy, Weymouth and Braintree and copies obtained directly from MassDOT.  In addition to the FONSI, this website also provides access to the finding's supporting documents: the Summary of Environmental Impacts and Mitigation Commitments, Clarification of Issues and Responses to Comments on the Environmental Assessment. 

About size: please note that while the FONSI itself is small enough to be presented here as a single document, the two supporting documents are much larger in terms of disk space.  While they have been broken up into segments to make them easier to view on this website, users, particularly those with wireless or dial-up connections, are strongly encouraged to download the pieces and review them locally rather than attempting to review them directly through the website.  Please note that below, the letters MB should be understood to represent the term megabyte.  The higher the number of megabytes, the larger the file.
